Abundant Blessings is the site to contact Bishop David Doyle, the premier New Mexico wedding officiant for a Catholic or Interfaith wedding officiant. Bishop David has helped prepare and officiate at more than 450 weddings in New Mexico and Iowa, and is long known by his couples and parishioners simply as "Fr. Dave." His personal style is to call on years of experience and work with couples to design and create a ceremony that is based on what YOU want to in your wedding ceremony for your invited guests, family and friends.
Although Fr. Dave is an ordained Old Catholic priest and bishop, he is an interfaith wedding officiant in the States of New Mexico, Iowa, and Wisconsin. He started out as a substitute officiant when a fellow cleric couldn't make it to a wedding; and with couples who were not allowed to be married in the Catholic Church. Over time more and more couples liked the openness of Fr. Dave and his ability to work with couples of differing backgrounds. Fr. Dave was a Roman Catholic priest for 15 years before beginning his spiritual journey ending with a parish and ministry in the Independent Catholic movement in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Currently he is a volunteer chaplain with Lovelace Women's Hospital and celebrates Mass each Sunday at 10AM in the Women's Hospital Chapel, and works with the State of New Mexico. He served as an Albuquerque Police Dept. Chaplain for 4 years. These experiences only strengthened his desire to work with couples who wish to be married in their venue by an officiant tuned to their unique needs and desires.
Especially encouraged to investigate Abundant Blessings are couples who wish a religious or a catholic wedding but have been prohibited in their churches by a divorce, children, cohabitation, or non-membership. Many couples wish an outside wedding and with Fr. Dave is it possible to have an outside Catholic wedding. It is his own spiritual journey that has allowed Bishop David the sensitivity to work with couples of various backgrounds and religious traditions who truly wish to incorporate their own cultural traditions and values in their special ceremony.
No one is left out, however, because couples who wish a non-religious ceremony work with Fr. Dave to bring their own special traditions and desires into a ceremony they are happy to invite their friends, family, and co-workers to attend. Sensitivity to the couple's needs and desires is more important than any adherence to a specific religious or spiritual philosophy.

BISHOP DAVID DOYLE
Bishop David has officiated at over 450 ceremonies, ranging from extremely religious and "high church" with full Catholic vestments to a civil ceremony in a suit. Whether celebrating the wedding in the Loretto Chapel in Santa Fe, Tanoan Country Club patio, or the Rose Arboratum in Dubuque, Iowa, to a hotel courtyard in Albuquerque, every couple is supported and encouraged to express themselves and make their wedding ceremony unique and personal. Each couple deserves the very best and personal attention that Bishop David has honed over years of marriage preparation and ministries of hospital and police chaplaincies, educator and parish priest. He has been a faculty member with the University of Phoenix since 2004.
